Hyslop Completes 13 Surgeries in 3 Days Local Constituency MSP, Fiona Hyslop has thanked constituents who attended her Summer Surgery Tour of 13 surgeries over three days earlier this week. (June 9th – 11th) The tour included all the smaller villages throughout her constituency, and ran from Monday morning until Wednesday afternoon.    Fiona said; “The tour has been a great success and a great opportunity to meet people at the surgery venues and listen to the concerns of my constituents. “My Linlithgow Constituency has 5 major towns which is where I normally hold surgeries on a regular basis, but as much of the constituency is semi-rural, it was important to hold surgeries in the smaller villages as well and we had volunteers leaflet the villages in advance to invite…

Hyslop Awards Trophies to Team United Players Local Constituency MSP Fiona Hyslop has visited Team United, a football initiative working with children with autism in Broxburn to award young players with trophies for their achievements in overcoming the challenges they face through sport. Fiona also awarded Players of the Year Awards to Lennon Williamson from West Lothian and Murphy Freeman from East Lothian. Team United Sports is a charity that works to support young people with autism overcome social barriers they often face when taking part in sport and physical activity, particularly team sports. Hyslop Undertakes Summer Surgery Tour Local Constituency MSP Fiona Hyslop is undertaking a Summer Surgery Tour having organised 13 surgeries over three days next week. (Monday 9th – Wednesday 11th July). The tour includes many of the smaller villages in West Lothian.   Fiona said; "Whilst I organise regular surgeries all over my constituency, it is important to get out and meet the constituents who cannot always make it to the bigger towns to meet with me. Hyslop Welcomes £23.9m Investment in West Lothian Schools Local Constituency MSP Fiona Hyslop has welcomed Scotland’s Schools for the Future school building programme for investing £23.9m in West Lothian. £22.6m has been invested in building new West Lothian schools and £1.3m has been spent refurbishing schools in the area under the SNP since 2009, and a total of 750 schools have been built or refurbished since the SNP came to power in Scotland. Hyslop Supports Processions Project Local Constituency MSP Fiona Hyslop has supported thousands of women and girls across the UK who walked together as part of a mass participatory artwork to celebrate the centenary of women’s suffrage on Sunday 10 June. To mark this historic moment, hundreds of women wore either green, white or violet scarves - the colours of the suffrage movement, appearing as a flowing river of colour as they walk through the city streets. MSP praise for Newton Community Council saving iconic views of Forth Linlithgow MSP Fiona Hyslop has praised the swift action of Newton Community Council for drawing a problem with the newly installed power lines through Newton towards South Queensferry to the attention of her and Scottish Power. The lines and poles would have seen one of the best views of the Forth and the three bridges from the layby of the A904 interrupted by wooden poles and electricity wires.
