Following the release of the Economy and Fair Work Committee's Inquiry Report on a Just Transition to Net Zero for the Grangemouth Area, Fiona commented, "Any Just Transition for Energy in Grangemouth to deliver carbon emission reductions and deliver Net Zero, should include the whole community, not just the industrial site. "I served on the Economy and Fair Work Committee for 2 years before re-joining the Government very recently. I know there will be a number of my Constituents who work at INEOS Grangemouth who will want to hear about Just Transition to Net Zero for the Grangemouth area and how this relates to the rest of Scotland. Fiona Hyslop Marks 75th Anniversary of NHS Scotland

Local MSP for the Linlithgow Constituency, Fiona Hyslop, has marked 75 years of NHS Scotland. This year also marks the 75th year of social care services. Founded on July 5th 1948, NHS Scotland has provided health and social care services to people across Scotland and a reception was held in Parliament last week (Tues 20th June) to celebrate and commemorate the dedication of staff and volunteers over the years. Fiona Hyslop MSP for the Linlithgow Constituency is encouraging Constituents who are able to, to donate their blood, platelets and plasma as part of an ongoing Campaign by the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service Team who visited Parliament last week. Local MSP for the Linlithgow Constituency, Fiona Hyslop, spoke in a Members Debate: Late-diagnosed Deaf Children (Lothian), in the Scottish Parliament on Thursday 8th June 2023. The debate, which was held in the name of Jeremy Balfour MSP, focussed on ensuring that Lothian late-diagnosed deaf children get the support that they need. Local Linlithgow Constituency MSP, Fiona Hyslop, attended Poppyscotland’s exhibition at the Scottish Parliament on Thursday 11th May and spoke with the team about their invaluable work.  Poppyscotland provide holistic and bespoke support for current and former members of the Armed Forces as well as their families. From October 2021 to September 2022, Poppyscotland provided assistance to 1,520 individuals and families across a wide range of their services. Poppyscotland also reach many more people through the Armed Services Advice Project, Legion Scotland's Pensions Service and by providing funding to other organisations. Local MSP Raises Need to Support St John’s Hospital based Youth Navigator Service with First Minister

Local MSP for the Linlithgow Constituency, Fiona Hyslop, raised the closure of the Youth Navigator Service at St John’s Hospital in Livingston at First Minister’s Questions on Thursday 11th May in the Scottish Parliament. Youth Navigator is a youth service run by Medics against Violence to support young people presenting to health care services. NHS Lothian will be withdrawing funding from the service resulting in the closure of the service in June.
