Local MSP calls for Youth Navigator Service to return to St John’s hospital
Local MSP for the Linlithgow Constituency, Fiona Hyslop, has welcomed Scottish Government funding to expand the Youth Navigator programme in Scotland. Youth Navigator is a youth service run by Medics against Violence to support young people presenting to health care services. Recently announced Scottish Government funding of £64,000 will allow the expansion of the service to University Hospital Wishaw and a pilot of the Youth Navigator programme in schools. Commenting Fiona said: “Youth Navigator provides vital support for young people, aged 12-16, as they access health care services.
