HYSLOP WELCOMES REINSTATED X14 BUS TO WHITBURN SNP MSP, Fiona Hyslop’s campaign to reinstate the X14 First Bus Service from Whitburn to Glasgow has been successful and will return to its original route on Monday, December 5th 2011. Fiona Hyslop met with First Bus Group’s Regional Manager, Mr Paul Thomas, wrote letters to his office and sent him a copy of her petition against the withdrawal of service X14; a petition which contained over a hundred local signatures. HYSLOP ISSUES PHONE SCAM WARNING After receiving complaints from constituents, Local MSP Fiona Hyslop has issued a warning that people in West Lothian may be falling victim to a phone scam. Callers pretend to be from a computer company and claim to need to fix the computer in your home. They then direct you to a website where they can gain remote access of your computer, gaining further access to your bank details and personal records. HYSLOP WELCOMES SINGLE POLICE FORCE PROPOSAL SNP MSP for Linlithgow Fiona Hyslop has welcomed the Justice Secretary’s statement to the Scottish Parliament to create a single police and single fire and emergency force to safeguard the vital front line services. LINLITHGOW MSP URGES CONSTITUENTS TO ATTEND DOORS OPEN DAY Local MSP, Fiona Hyslop is urging the people of West Lothian to take advantage of West Lothian Open Doors Days this weekend (8th, 10th and 11th September). Several attractions across Linlithgow and surrounding areas are opening their doors to the public with many of the historic sites opening for the first time. HYSLOP WELCOMES ARTIST ROOMS TOUR AT BURGH HALLS Local MSP for Linlithgow, Fiona Hyslop has welcomed the news that the Linlithgow Burgh Halls is one of 17 Scottish venues to host the 2012 Artist Rooms tour of modern and contemporary art. The Burgh Halls will display American photographer Robert Mapplethorne’s work until October 2012. HYSLOP WELCOMES OPENING OF LOCAL ALLOTMENTS Fiona Hyslop MSP for Linlithgow attended the opening Celebrations of Oakwell Community Growing Plots on Saturday. Linlithgow and District Allotment Society (LADAS) found out in January 2011 that they have secured planning permission for Community Growing Plots on the private land between Linlithgow and Philpstoun.
