LOCAL MSP CALLS ON VION TO HELP RECOVERY PLANS Commenting on the situation at Hall’s of Broxburn, following Vion’s decision to close the plant, local MSP Fiona Hyslop is calling on the departing company to face up to their responsibilities and contribute to the recovery. FIONA HYSLOP ANGRY AND DISAPPOINTED WITH VION DECISION LOCAL MSP WELCOMES RECOVERY PLAN ACTION Commenting on the situation at Hall’s of Broxburn, following confirmation that parent company Vion have rejected two bids to take over the plant meaning it is set to close, local MSP Fiona Hyslop expressed her disappointment at the outcome. Ms Hyslop welcomed the swift action of the Scottish Government who announced a recovery plan for West Lothian immediately after the confirmation from Vion. Hyslop "Wears it Pink" in Torphichen Local MSP, Fiona Hyslop is joining forces with Breast Cancer Campaign to raise awareness of its biggest fundraising event, wear it pink day. Fiona attended Torphichen’s annual Pink Coffee Morning on October 6th at St John’s Hall. Last year hundreds of thousands of people took part in wear it pink to help improve survival rates for the one in eight women who experience breast cancer during their lifetime.
