Local MSP Visits Kitchen Design and Manufacturing Factory in Easter Inch

Local MSP for the Linlithgow Constituency, Fiona Hyslop MSP, visited the Bathgate factory of Smith and Frater, who are part of the James Donaldson Group. Smith and Frater design, manufacture and distribute quality timber kitchens from their local factory in the Easter Inch Industrial Estate.

Commenting Fiona said:

“It was interesting to hear about the business, and the passion and effort which goes into manufacturing quality and sustainable products here in my Constituency. I also met with Michael Donaldson of the parent group and heard about the role they play in supplying quality, sustainable timber products across the UK to the housing and other markets as well as innovative work supporting sole traders and small companies in the retail space.

“The team at Smith & Frater are committed to ensuring the business adhere to a set of values which help guide their decision making ethically, morally and responsibly. This also helps ensure quality and care in their products.

“It was a pleasure to see an innovative local business with employees who aim for sustainability and integrity, and it was fascinating to see how kitchens are put together in their impressive factory”.
