Hyslop Welcomes Successful Cabinet Meetings in Bathgate
Constituency MSP, Fiona Hyslop has commented on the success of January’s Cabinet Meeting where members of the public and local representatives and organisations
were able to quiz Ministers on what Independence could mean for West Lothian.
Members of the Cabinet proceeded to attend engagements across West Lothian once the public meeting aspect of the event had ended.
Fiona commented;
“The Cabinet’s visit to Bathgate marked its first meeting outside Edinburgh in 2014.
“As well as the First Minister’s announcement of £1 million which will provide an additional 35 new affordable homes for rent in Bathgate, several Cabinet Ministers arranged local visits while in West Lothian to engage with the community in their respective portfolios.
“I chaired the public meeting section of the event and was impressed with the varying questions and views presented to the Cabinet, and I am pleased the Cabinet had the opportunity to debate Scotland’s future with the people who will be choosing it.”
